Corporate Bits | CEM holds occupational safety training

CEM organized the “Safety Training for Contractors”, attracting over 80 employees from among CEM’s contractors to attend.

Professionals from the Labor Affairs Bureau and CEM shared related knowledge and experiences, the electric company said in a statement.

Simon Young, Deputy Director of CEM Transmission and Distribution Department said that the CEM Transmission and Distribution Department has achieved a record of zero accidents in three years.

In the future, CEM pledged that it will step up efforts to promote information on occupational safety and health through various activities, in a bid to allow its staff to join hands with the industry to achieve an accident-free vision.

During the training, a talk on “Noise at Work and Hearing Protection”, explaining the impact of excessive noise at work on health as well as measures to protect hearing was also held.

CEM has been holding the “Safety Training for Contractors” since 2014.

Fado announces Christmas Menu

In the season of reunion and gatherings, Fado at Hotel Royal Macau has specially crafted a Christmas Wine Pairing Set Menu that features a blend of traditional Portuguese classics and contemporary creations, which are paired with sublime wines.

Inspired by ingredients from Portugal and around the world, this five-course festive menu is started with suckling pig terrine with green asparagus, apple and mustard sauce, the hotel noted in a statement.

The gastronomic journey continues with roasted octopus, onion sand, roasted pepper chutney and chicory lettuce, along with cod confit in olive oil, potato mousse, local cabbage, carrots and onion pickles.

The restaurant’s rack of lamb and a mix of vegetables and “alheira” sausage will also be served, ending the menu with Christmas fritter with egg cream and cinnamon ice-cream.
