CTM has concluded its fundraising campaigns for “Walk For A Million,” raising a total amount of MOP40,430 from over 1,200 donations.
Held across November and December last year, the company partnered with the “Charity Fund From The Readers of Macao Daily News” to establish a donation platform via its internet and mobile networks.
The full amount has been transferred to the charity, the telecommunications company said in a statement.
From November 18 to December 10, CTM customers could make a set donation of MOP30 through their mobile device or the donation website.
BNU volunteers visit charity
BNU Employee Association volunteers visited the Santa Margarida Centre of Caritas Macau, where they presented New Year greetings and gifts form Fu Hong Society.
During the visit, BNU volunteers and God of Wealth members sang Chinese New Year songs and played games, creating a warm and happy atmosphere, according to a statement from BNU.
Led by Pedro Cardoso, CEO and the executive director, Sam Tou, the volunteers received a warm welcome from Paul Pun, Secretary General of Caritas Macau, along with other executives of the non-government organization.
The centre primarily helps females aged 16 or above with disabilities, by providing them with accommodation.
“It is our pleasure to work with Caritas Macau through volunteer works, supporting a healthy and cheerful life style with dignity for the members,” said Cardoso.
