first in-house diploma program in casino management

Melco Crown Entertainment  (MCE) announced yesterday that its first cohort of graduates consisting of 43 local employees had successfully completed two modules in the past year. Each module contained four subjects in areas such as crisis management, problem solving skills, supervisory leadership in the gaming industry, in addition to a variety of other subjects.
The diploma in Casino Management program was brought in-house to the MCE Learning Academy as part of the Company’s commitment to develop local talent. As in all of Melco Crown Entertainment’s in-house programs, such as the “Back to School” high-school diploma program, its collaboration with the University of Macau enables its employees to have convenient access to learning.
“I am exceptionally proud of our colleagues’ achievements. I am especially pleased to learn that some of the graduates are from our in-house ‘Back to School’ program. I have witnessed their hard work and resilience. It has been a tough journey for them, as they have full time jobs and family duties to attend to while taking classes,” said Lawrence Ho, co-chairman and CEO of Melco Crown.
