Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has donated MOP20 million to Hubei Province to help the region fight the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak and assist relief efforts.
Made through its Galaxy Entertainment Group Foundation, the donation will be used to purchase medical supplies and equipment that are in urgent demand in the region.
The foundation will also donate MOP5 million to support the prevention initiatives in the Macau community, the gaming operator announced in a statement.
Through collaboration with different associations, the foundation aims to use the fund to help local residents in need of virus prevention measures.
According to the gaming operator, a special task force of GEG has been in close contact with relevant parties in the hopes of accelerating the implementation of the initiative.
