Corporate Bits | Meg-Star establishes special fund for Wuhan coronavirus

Meg-Star International Charity Association by Meg- Star Group has donated MOP10 million in the fight against the Wuhan coronavirus.
According to a statement, the charity has taken the lead to establish the “Wuhan Coronavirus Special Fund” to step-up anti-epidemic measures for the epicenter of the contagion in Wuhan city and Hubei province.
Part of the donation will focus on providing medical supplies to Hubei province.
Meanwhile, the charity is in discussion with several non-profit organizations to implement anti-coronavirus measures.
Meanwhile, Meg-Star Group also announced that the donation will be adjusted or increased based on the development of the coronavirus outbreak in China.

Star International Charity Association” in 2017, which focuses on supporting community charity, poverty, and disaster relief with significant donations.

CEM limits business hours amid 2019-nCoV outbreak

Electricity provider CEM is limiting its business hours in a bid to limit the outbreak of the 2019-nCoV, the firm announced in a statement.
Until further notice, its Taipa Customer Service Center will be closed, while its Macau Customer Service Center will resume business today. However, in order to reduce the risk of virus transmission, thorough cleaning and disinfection will be performed at the Customer Service Center every two hours, during which its services will be suspended.
CEM will suspend its services from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., and from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Meanwhile, customers are required to have their temperature checked and to wear a mask when entering the premises.
The firm also encourages customers to pay electricity bills via electronic means such as MPay and online banking.
