1 2016 3D MappingAccording to Sands China, thousands of visitors descended on the group’s Cotai strip resorts on New Year’s Eve for live music performances and a countdown celebration at the Venetian Macao’s outdoor lagoon.
The live entertainment program included a 3D light and sound show accompanied by imitation snowfall, and live performances from “Blue Note” and the “Andy Frasco and the U.N.” band.
The outdoor countdown event saw the façade of the Venetian Macao transformed into a countdown clock for the final 10 minutes of 2015. The event culminated in a midnight confetti drop covering the cheering crowd in a blanket of color.

A crowd of over 1,000 revelers participated in the NYE countdown held at Studio City’s Times Square Macau on New Year’s Eve to welcome the new year with the descent of a 1.5 meter mirror ball.
The descent was accompanied by faux snow, virtual fireworks and other visual effects, including the release of around 2,000 balloons over the heads of spectators.
The event was complemented by a number of live music and dance performances, featuring U.S.-born singer-songwriter Kelis, UK DJ Nikki “Beatnik” and six themed dancers from Studio City’s Pacha Nightclub.
