Crime | Counterfeit jewelry and take-away food

A local woman has made an unusual report to the PJ in relation to the online acquisition of a piece of jewelry.
According to the report, the woman saw the item online for the price of USD361 (around 2,900 patacas). Since the piece was around 1,000 patacas more expensive in shops, she decided to acquire it online.
When the item arrived, she realized that it was from a different brand and of a low quality, leading her to suspect that it was forged.
She emailed the seller to try and return the item. Upon receiving no response, she decided to file a complaint with the PJ.
At the same time, she said that she started to receive almost daily, several orders of takeaway food at her address that she did not order, nor did she not pay for. She said she suspected that the two cases were somehow connected. RM
