The Audio-Visual company Cut has won the public tender for the operation and management of the “Cinematheque Passion,” the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) has announced via their website.
The company is resuming the management of this cultural venue, having been the first organization in this role from the Cinematheque Passion’s inauguration, in 2017, until 2020.
As before, the contract is valid for three years, commencing August 2023 and expiring at the end of July 2026.
This time, the IC received a total of six proposals for the space, with the winning bid coming from “Cut,” offering a total amount of MOP16,942,884.
Cut’s bid was the second lowest bid in the tender after a proposal of MOP14,500,000 from Cowin Group (Macau).
The highest bid received was MOP21,500,000 from the company “Cultura de Ambição Lda.”
Bidding for the tender was also the former management company “Companhia de Produção de Entretenimento e Cultura ‘In’, Lda,” which, although having made the second highest offer (MOP20,973,400), did not win the tender.
The maximum set by IC for the bids was MOP22 million.
Among the criteria for the choice of a management company for the “Cinematheque Passion” was a detailed plan of activities, marketing, and content acquisition for the first 12 months of operations as well as a detailed resumé explaining the experience and knowledge of the operations director.
