DSAL receives over 2,000 employer subsidy applications

The Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) has received a total of 2,029 applications for the temporary subsidy plan for eligible employers who hire unemployed local residents. 1,166 have been approved so far, involving 1,892 additional employees. The subsidy scheme allows SMEs to receive MOP19,968 in subsidies for each local hire meeting certain conditions. The subsidy amount is calculated as half of the city’s minimum wage for six months.
