DSF educates school students about taxation

The Financial Services Bureau (DSF) has educated school students from approximately a dozen primary and secondary schools about the duty of taxation in the first half of this year. Primary school students were shown animated videos to educate them about the idea of tax declaration as a duty. In secondary schools, the DSF taught classes on professional tax, revenue tax, and revenue supplementary tax. The Campus Promotion Campaign on Taxation has been in operation since 2015 and is popular across the education sector.

Housing Bureau issues 221 management licenses

As of August 6, the Housing Bureau (IH) has issued a total of 221 management licenses for the provision of services at floor buildings, in addition to 191 provisional licenses. Some 41 provisional license holders have not applied for the formal license. Of these, 31 are not currently under a service contract with any building. The IH is in contact with the remaining 10 to remind them of the application requirements. They will not be permitted to provide property management services after August 21 unless they obtain a license, and will be fined between MOP50,000 and MOP500,000 if they provide services without a formal license.
