DSI receives over 10,000 applications on the first week of extended service

From last Tuesday (Feb. 7), when the Identification Services Bureau (DSI) extended its service hours to 9 p.m. and to weekends, it has received over 10,000 applications for documents and certificates, the DSI has said.

The figure includes applications lodged in-person at the service counters as well as via online channels.

At the moment, an appointment can still be made for lodging application at China Plaza Building, while the next available appointment dates for lodging applications at the Government Services Centres in Areia Preta and in the Islands are Feb. 26 and Feb. 23, respectively.

The extended service hours, which resulted from a rapid increase in demand, will be in effect until the end of March this year.

Citizens are welcome to make appointments for counter services in the extended time in “Ticketing and Appointment for Counter Service” in “Macao One Account” or on the DSI website (www.dsi.gov.mo). On-site ticketing will not be provided, but citizens can collect documents without an appointment during that time. RM
