Gongbei port records highest single-day arrivals
According to statistics from the Gongbei Border Inspection Station, over 386,000 passengers passed through Gongbei Port yesterday, marking the highest single-day passenger flow in four years. The station reported that summer events, such as concerts and shopping festivals in Macau, have significantly increased travel between Zhuhai and Macau. From July 1 to yesterday, the cumulative passenger flow exceeded 10 million, a 12.4% year-on-year increase, with a daily average of 316,000 trips. Of these, 52,000 were made by travelers with tourist visas, a 15.5% year-on-year rise. Both figures are the highest for winter and summer holidays in the past four years.
