Gov’t expands coverage of medical vouchers to Hengqin

Macau authorities have implemented a new regulation that expands the coverage of medical vouchers to Hengqin where permanent residents will receive electronic vouchers worth MOP600 each, which will be issued between May 2024 and April 2026. This campaign is estimated to cost approximately MOP441 million from the public coffers. To ensure smooth implementation, provisional arrangements state that the medical vouchers to be used in Hengqin will be denominated in the Chinese currency, the Executive Council said Friday.
