Guangdong, SARs announce boutique regional tours

A cultural and tourism promotion session held recently has announced 10 itineraries of boutique regional tours covering Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macau.

These new itineraries were the fruits of a meeting in June connecting the tourism authorities from the three jurisdictions. The meeting, meanwhile, marked the 83rd of its kind.

The new batch of 10 regional boutique tour itineraries have a variety of goals, including cultural and historical tours, world heritage tours, study and exchange tours, maritime silk road exploration tours, technological innovation tours, island tours, countryside tours, healthcare tours, leisure and food tours, as well as root-seeking tours.

In the technological innovation tour, for example, tourists will be taken to experience the VR product at the Ruins of St Paul’s, the Macau Grand Prix Museum, the Macao Science Center, the teamLab exhibition, among other attractions.

In the next phase, the Guangdong Department of Culture and Tourism will push travel agencies to launch corresponding products for the market, so as to continue to strengthen the promotion of cultural tourism resources in the Greater Bay Area in summer, further explore the characteristics of various regions, increase the popularity of the cities, highlight the charm of the Area, as well as drive cultural tourism consumption.
