The 18th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF) is scheduled to take place in Guangzhou from June 26 to 30. In a press conference, Xu Xiaolan, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), stated that the fair, jointly organized by MIIT, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the provincial government of Guangdong, will prioritize addressing the specific needs of small and medium-sized enterprises. During the fair, the second International Cooperation Summit for Small and Medium Enterprises will also be held. As of now, approximately 1,600 domestic exhibitors and 300 international exhibitors have registered for the fair, according to Lyu Yuyin, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province. As of the end of 2022, China had a total of 52 million micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, with the MIIT having nurtured nearly 9,000 “little giant” firms.
