IAM pledges monitoring of ancient trees

The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) is following up on the condition of an endangered camphor tree in Avenida do Conselheiro Ferreira de Almeida. Although healing measures such as using medication, pruning to control the tree’s height and other treatments were taken in recent months, the growth condition of the tree has not improved. Currently, the leaves in the tree’s crown have all withered and there are signs of disease and pest infestation. IAM will continue to monitor the growth of Macau’s ancient and valuable trees.
