Inflation up 1.1%

Inflation in October grew by 1.10% year-on-year, according to the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC). The increment was attributed to higher prices for eating out, rising tuition fees, as well as higher prices for clothing and gasoline. However, the rise was partially offset by falling airfares and lower dwelling rentals. The average Composite Consumer Price Index for the first ten months of 2023 rose 0.87% year-on-year.
