The new prison in Ka-Ho is due to conclude all works within the first half (1H) of this year, the Secretary for Security, Wong Sio Chak said on the sidelines of the Legislative Assembly Second Standing Committee meeting. Wong noted that the new prison is currently undergoing final works and testing before opening. It is expected that the transfer of inmates from the Coloane Prison will take place in September, a process that should take one or two days only. Wong noted that due to safety measures, transfer procedures are expected to cause minor disruptions in the area
