Police warn about fake OCBC app

The OCBC Bank Macau has reported the existence of a fake app impersonating the bank’s app, the Judiciary Police (PJ) has announced. The fake app is on non-official platforms. The PJ said the name, the icons and the interface of the fake app closely resemble the authentic one, which is a common phishing strategy. Bank clients may be deceived into entering their personal and login data into the fake app. The PJ reiterated apps should only be downloaded from official platforms, such as Apple App Store and Google Play.
