Portuguese feast

This month, Mesa at The Karl Lagerfeld is launching a weekly Sunday Matiné featuring delicacies from the streets of Portugal to the shores of Macau. One could feast on a brunch menu for a unique cultural voyage with fruity Portuguese sangrias or free-flow of selected wines.

Sunday Matiné will take guests on a culinary adventure featuring a Portuguese-styled egg dish, in addition to ten Portuguese petiscos and five main courses. The petiscos offerings include Ostra, oyster in three flavors, Bulhão Pato, traditional clams in garlic and white wine sauce, and Lagosta, lobster mini burgers, to name a few. The five main course selections include Espetadas, grilled mix skewers, Frango Piri Piri, fried chicken drumstick with Mesa’s Artisan Piri Piri Sauce, Costeletão Assado, roasted short rib, Arroz de Coentros, carolino rice with cabbage and coriander, and Broccolini Com Alho, sautéed broccolini with garlic, cream and chips.

After these amazing savory options, one can enjoy Mesa’s assorted homemade desserts from the trolley service. A selection from Mesa’s signature cocktail list inspired by Macau landmarks is also available for takeaway including Last Back Garden, Patron Saint, Intelligent Treasure, as well as the iconic Negroni.

Mesa offers an exquisite menu of contemporary Portuguese flavors manifesting the tradition, quality, authenticity, and farm-to-table philosophy of dining. Designed by fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld, Mesa’s interior features a bold, blend of contemporary design and oriental inspiration. Mesa has recently been bestowed “Best Award of Excellence” of Wine Spectator 2022, marking an honorable result in the restaurant’s opening year.
