Sands China co-organized a seminar titled “Drug Prevention for a Harmonious Family” with the Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) on August 21.
The seminar was held at The Venetian Macao’s Adelson Advanced Education Centre, attended by around 35 employees from various departments.
The seminar was held in support of the Macau SAR government’s 2019 International Day against Drug Abuse campaign, with topics covering drug concepts, alcohol-related harm, and how to best refuse drugs.
It aimed to enhance awareness of drug abuse and build a drug-free society. The speaker for the seminar was Tang Sut I, head of IAS’ Drug Abuse Prevention Division.
In a press release distributed yesterday, one of the participating team members is quoted as saying, “We as parents are concerned about the social issues faced by teenagers nowadays. This seminar taught me invaluable lessons and helped me understand the importance of protecting our children from drug abuse.”
