Casino operator Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (SJM) has announced a donation of 20 million patacas to aid coronavirus control and relief efforts in Hubei province, including purchasing much-needed medical supplies and protective equipment.
The donation was made under the coordination of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR.
Daisy Ho, chairman of the SJM board of directors, said, “SJM stands firmly with the Macau SAR government and all Macau people in [their] efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus.”
With the health and safety of customers and employees its primary concern, SJM has been maintaining close communication with the relevant government departments and rolling out preventive measures in strict adherence to government guidelines, and has remained united with the community in the fight against the virus.
