SSM warns on rising flu cases

The latest data from the Health Bureau (SSM) indicated a 14.9% increase in flu cases last week, signaling an outbreak of the influenza virus. The bureau has emphasized the importance of safeguarding vulnerable populations, including pregnant women, children, the elderly, and individuals with chronic illnesses. Last week, a 79-year-old man with underlying chronic illnesses and no vaccination history succumbed to the virus at the public hospital.
