Taipa Grande tunnel cost revealed tomorrow
The construction cost and details of the Taipa Grande tunnel will be revealed tomorrow when the Public Works Bureau (DSOP) announces the bids received for the project. As is frequently the case, this public tender was not an open tender but limited to pre-selected companies the government considered suitable for the task. The first phase of the work covers the construction of the tunnel section, southern connection and entrance and exit at the northern end of the section of the tunnel that will cross Taipa Grande Hill. The maximum design and execution period is 1,165 working days.
