XXL Carabineros Paella

Since 2012, 22 Ships has been a culinary beacon in the vibrant tapestry of Hong Kong’s dining scene. Following a revamp in 2020, the tapas bar underwent a transformative culinary evolution under the guidance of Madrid-born Chef Antonio Oviedo. The menu offers delectable tapas and dishes that stay true to timeless tradition, all served in a convivial yet relaxed setting that captures the essence of community dining.

22 Ships, the beloved neighbourhood tapas bar that captured hearts in Wan Chai since its inception in 2012, is poised to relocate to a new abode in PMQ, Central this September. The imminent move marks a significant milestone for the establishment, with its last day of operation in Wan Chai scheduled for the 21st August and its new date of soft-opening in PMQ set to be 6th September.

Over the next few weeks, guests are invited to enjoy some of 22 Ships’ cherished signatures at its iconic location for the last time, from the decadent Uni & Rusa Toast to the crunchy Chorizo Croquetas and the heartwarming Tortilla & Sobrasada. Other standout offerings include luscious Scallops in Ajo Blanco, the monumental XXL Carabineros Paella, and the flavourful Manchego Lamb Shoulder. Experience the ultimate in Spanish cuisine with the Cochinillo Segovian Roasted Suckling Pig , renowned for its crispy skin and succulent meat. For dessert, guests can’t miss Chef Antonio’s creamy signature Burnt Basque Cheesecake and home-style Flan de la Casa Vanilla.

As a neighbourhood favourite, 22 Ships has consistently delivered memorable dining experiences, and as it ventures to a new home in Central, where Chef Antonio and his team are dedicated to bringing the same energy, passion, and innovation that have made 22 Ships a treasured dining destination in Hong Kong.

Nestled in PMQ Central, the new 22 Ships embodies a design aesthetic that seamlessly blends rustic allure with retro flair. Guests can immerse themselves in a cool and relaxed ambiance, perfect for savouring tapas and social drinks in a setting that exudes charm and warmth. The space will feature integrated bodega tables designed to facilitate communal dining experiences, mirroring the brand’s ethos while capturing the spirit of social sharing – a cherished Spanish cultural norm.
