Teenager allegedly jumps to her death at Seac Pai Van

A 15-year-old resident has allegedly jumped to her death from the residential building of Seac Pai Van, the Judiciary Police (PJ) said in a short statement to the media.

According to the PJ report around 7 p.m. on June 26, the PJ received a notification from the Fire Services Bureau (CB) as well as the emergency service from the Public Hospital that the CB had transported a girl who was suspected to have fallen from a height and was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital.

Upon investigation, the PJ said that it was found that a few minutes earlier that day some people had seen the girl sitting on the wall of the upper platform of the building, resulting in the witnesses calling the police for help.

Before the CB arrived at the scene, the girl had already allegedly jumped from the building and was found by the firefighters when they arrived at the scene.

After a preliminary examination of the body, apart from injuries consistent with falling from a height, no other evidence was found that could indicate any kind of criminal activity involved in the case, the PJ said.

For the time being, and as a regular procedure, the case has been listed as a body discovery case with the cause of death to be ascertained through forensic examination.

According to the monitoring carried out by the Health Bureau referring to the first quarter of this year, there were 23 cases of suicide in the first three months of this year referring to the deaths of people aged between 18 and 92 years old.
