The University of Macau (UM) has introduced a new service for testing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) specifically designed for manufacturers and companies based in Macau.The purpose of this initiative is to obtain additional official certifications from the China National Accreditation Service (CNAS), and it will be carried out through trial operations managed by the Macao Centre for Testing of Chinese Medicine (MCTCM). Professor Li Shaoping, the director of MCTCM, as cited in a report by media outlet Journal Tribuna de Macau, has emphasized that the establishment of this center will contribute to the growth of the Chinese medicine industry in Macau, aligning with the government’s strategy to diversify the economy.
