Unemployment rate at 2.8%

Macau’s unemployment rates remained stable for the period of December 2023 to February 2024, compared to the previous period of November 2023 to January 2024, where the underemployment rate experienced a modest decline. The general unemployment rate and the unemployment rate of local residents both held steady at 2.2% and 2.8% respectively, according to the latest data released by the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC). The total labor force in Macau during this period was reported to be 379,000, with a labor force participation rate of 67.7%.
