The 2019 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Film Production Investment and Trade Fair, co-organized by Macau’s Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), the Film Administration of Guangdong Province and Create Hong Kong, is calling for submissions of Macau film projects until June 14.
Co-organized by the film authorities of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, the Fair has been held in Macau since 2014, with the aim of providing a convenient platform for film producers and investors from the three regions. Past editions of the Fair have attracted a total of 111 film projects from the three regions and approximately 210 representatives of investors.
According to organizers, the Fair has contributed to the development of an integrated film industry in the Greater Bay Area.
The adjudicating panel, composed of professionals from the film industry invited by the IC, will select a maximum of eight film projects based on four criteria: creativity of the story, experience and execution capability of the applicant and the production team, project feasibility and budget rationality.
The selected projects from Macau will then be assessed together with other projects from Hong Kong and Guangdong Province by judges from the three regions. A maximum of 15 projects will be selected to enter the Fair. DB
