The Studio City Water Park officially opened on Saturday, welcoming nearly 1,000 guests on the first day of its operations.
The water park features a variety of water rides and attractions such as: Highpoint Twister with its five colorful high-octane slides; Golden Bucket, which features more than 60 water features; RiverScape, a 450-meter action river for all ages; and Little Lagoon, a kid-friendly area.
Studio City is offering a season pass for MOP1088, allowing unlimited entries until October. A standard ticket, meanwhile, costs MOP388.
The water park is part of Studio City’s second phase of expansion, which was budgeted at USD1.35 billion to USD1.4 billion.
This second phase offers non-gaming attractions, including a cineplex, a water park, fine dining restaurants, and meeting and exhibition spaces.
Melco International Development Limited posted a net loss of HKD12.38 billion for the full year of 2020. Covid-19 and ensuing travel restrictions significantly impacted the group’s financial performance throughout 2020. LV
