DSAL and Wynn to launch ‘Culinary Apprentice Training Plan’

The Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) and Wynn Macau will jointly launch the “Wynn Culinary Apprentice Plan,” a program that provides professional training for Macau residents interested in dedicating themselves to the culinary field but who lack the necessary experience.

Registration for the Plan is ongoing and lasts until Jan. 24, offering a total of 12 job vacancies. Six vacancies are for apprentices of Oriental cuisine and another six are for apprentices of Western cuisine.

Applicants admitted to the plan will undergo a 12-month training program. They will obtain an occupational safety card in the hotel and catering industry.

Upon completing their studies, trainees will be promoted to the position of junior cook, establishing a foundation upon which to develop the future of their professional culinary career.

Those interested in participating in the plan can register online at the DSAL website.

Once online registrations close, more details will be announced at a seminar on Jan. 29. Interviews will take place on the same day immediately after the seminar.

Applicants are advised to be attentive and keep their phones switched on, so as to receive notifications from Wynn. Staff Reporter
