Theft case leads to discovery of woman overstaying her visa

The Public Security Police were alerted to a case of theft when a man reported his clothes and mobile phone stolen while trying on clothes in a store earlier this week. Through surveillance, police authorities apprehended the suspect near the Central District the following day. Upon questioning, the suspect confessed to the crime, revealing that he had overstayed his visa for three months. Stolen items were recovered from the suspect’s residence, leading to the discovery that a Filipino woman in her 50s had been residing with him since April. She claimed ignorance of his visa overstay, stating they were in a relationship.
