IC restores Na Tcha Temple walls

The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) has started to restore the peeling paint of the exterior walls of Na Tcha Temple. The temple’s pavilions will remain open to the public during the restoration period, and the IC estimates that the restoration will be completed within 60 days.  The IC also issued an apology for the inconvenience caused by the installation of scaffolding on the side of the temple facing Travessa de Sancho Pança, Calçada das Verdades and Travessa de D. Quixote, as it will interfere with pedestrian movement.

Macau and Malaysia’s football teams will face off in a friendly match at the Hang Jebat Stadium, Malacca on March 29, an international slot in the FIFA calendar. The stadium is reportedly the first Malaysian location outside Klang Valley to host a senior international match. Most of Malaysia’s home matches over the past five years have been played in the Klang Valley, the country’s most developed and densely populated area. Klang Valley is the site of  most bouts involving the national team, as well as the final matches of domestic competitions. The match will take place five days after Malaysia’s final 2018 World Cup/2019 Asian Cup qualifying group match against Saudi Arabia.

Classical Jazz concert moved to May

The Macau Orchestra’s Weekend Music Party – Classical Jazz concert has been rescheduled to May 28 at Dom Pedro V Theatre. Originally scheduled for June 11, the performance program and ticket prices remain unchanged. According to a statement, current ticket-holders will be given priority when changing their tickets at Macau Ticketing Network outlets before March 10.  The Weekend Music Party – Classical Jazz features various jazz themes adapted for the string quartet and brass quintet, including Ragtime, Blue Mink Blues and St. Louis Blues. Tickets are priced at MOP120 and MOP100.
