Macau-related prints on exhibition

coluna-The opening of the “Heart Carving Xue Yihan’s Scenes of Macau Collection Printmaking Exhibition” will be tomorrow at the Albergue SCM – A2 Gallery. According to a statement, the exhibition includes 30 Macau-related prints by Xue Yihan, which unveil images of bygone days. Xue Yihan, the master of the South China Sea fine arts school, began his printmaking activities in 1957, producing several works at that time portraying sailors enlisted in the Navy and often participated in military exhibitions throughout the country in all provinces. Xue came to Macau several times in the 1990s, where he created works using a skilled technique of colour print on boards. The exhibition will be held until April 22, from Tuesday to Sunday. It is co-organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Albergue SCM and Beishan Lihe Creative Cultural Industries, Ltd.
