Association against banning casino employees from casinos

Lei Kuok Keong, deputy director of the Forefront of Macau Gaming, said “I feel the government is close to becoming insane” regarding the authority not consulting gaming employees about banning them from entering casinos. According to a report by All About Macau, many casino front workers are unhappy with the proposed ban. In Lei’s opinion, if the local government is trying to imitate Singapore where the ban on entry to casinos is extended to all of its citizens, then it should not ban casino employees only.
Lei believes that by implementing the partial ban, the gaming industry might turn discriminatory. “[The ban] treats them as if they were gaming addicts, gambling groups, or even chips thieves,” said Lei, adding that the situation is unfair. Lei considers that if the government really wants to protect residents and promote responsible gambling in the city, then the incoming laws should ban all Macau residents from casinos. JZ
