Students from the Portuguese School (EPM) participated in a quiz competition at Goa University for the first time.
The quiz consists of questions based on articles written by the students from Classes 10-12 of Goa-based schools on several arts and culture topics.
The event will be telecast on a Goan channel in January 2018, the Times of India reported. The three participants were Leonor Silva, Teresa Senna Fernandes and Joana Yee. Yee, who has Goan roots, was eager to see more of the land where her grandparents were born.
According to the Times of India, the trio participated in the Portuguese quiz, Kaleidoscope, an event that attracts students from all over Goa. The quizzes were held in five languages – Portuguese, Hindi, Konkani, Marathi and French.
