Asian band Mayday dazzled at their sell-out audience Friday night, delivering a succession of hits for the “Mayday 2018 Life Tour Macau” at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations.
Mayday’s performance was one of four concerts held at the venue and the band performed around 30 songs over the three-hour show. Their show included costume changes, guest appearances and animated movies depicting band members as superheroes.
According to a statement issued by Sands China, the high points included the songs; “Party Animal”, “Jump”, “People Life, Ocean Wild”, “Sad People Should Not Listen to Slow Songs” and “Stubborn.”
Often described as “the Asian Beatles”, the band is made up of five members; Ashin, Monster and Stone (guitars), Masa (bass guitar)and Guan You (drums).
To date, Mayday has produced nine albums and numerous hit singles and videos.
MGM partners with Janice Wong for CNY pastries
MGM have announced that they will be teaming up with pastry chef, Janice Wong, to curate contemporary yet nostalgic Chinese New Year confectioneries.
To make this year distinct from the history of collaboration between Wong and MGM, Wong will integrate classic Western pastries with traditional Eastern tea, to create a fresh approach to the tea experience.
To present the signature pastries and teas to the public, the Chinese New Year Gift Set will be available as the prelude of Janice Wong MGM at MGM Cotai.
Three options of exclusive gift sets will be available, including the Chinese New Year Pudding Gift Set, the savory Turnip Pudding Gift Set and a third option of a Mini Chinese New Year and Turnip Pudding Gift Set. These gifts sets will be featured and available for purchase at the two properties.
All three gift sets include the Pineapple Pastries, a tin of signature Janice Wong Tea, and a taste of her creations; the aromatic Toffee Popcorn, the floral Marzipan Rose are two that will be included in the gift sets.
