Briefs | Patane Library reopens today

The facilities, electrical system and air conditioning equipment of the Patane Library of the Cultural Affairs Bureau were severely damaged by the impact of Typhoon Hato last month. The repair, maintenance and inspection works are now concluded and the Library will reopen to the public today. The Patane Library covers an area of around 1,130 square meters over three floors, providing approximately 150 reading seats. The Library is open from 2 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. on Mondays, and 9.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. from Tuesdays to Sundays, except on public holidays.

Fireworks to mark National Day

In celebration of the 68th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) will present a fireworks display above the sea in front of the Macau Tower. The National Day fireworks display will start at 9 p.m. on October 1 and last for approximately 15 minutes.
