The city’s first pump track at Flora Park will open to the public for a trial run tomorrow, following the reopening of the children’s cycling, scooter field and plant maze area on the site.
The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) indicated that bicycles or balance bikes used must meet the requirements of the venue – the diameter of the wheels must be between 12 and 22 inches, and the bicycles must be equipped with a rear brake system or a front and rear brake system.
Users will need to queue on-site and enter the field in groups, with each group having no more than 15 people. Same-group users should utilize the track in an orderly manner within the duration of each session which is tentatively set at 15 minutes, after which the next group of users will enter the venue.
The track is open for users aged between 3 and 12 years.
The cycling track is equipped with a circular curved wall and slopes. LV
