Corporate Bits | BNU temporarily closes three branches as preventive measure

Local bank Banco Nacional Ultramarino, S.A. (BNU) announced that it is temporarily closing three of its branches as part of preventive measures to protect its customers and staff from the spread of the novel coronavirus.

In a statement, BNU said that its University of Macau branch, Red Market branch and NAPE branch have been closed since yesterday until further announcements.

“The remaining branches and BNU headquarters will be open for business and [are] trying to provide our services as best as possible due to the circumstances,” the bank stated.

In all opened branches, body temperature checking is mandatory before entering the bank’s premises. Customers with body temperatures equal to or above 37°C will be denied entry to the bank.

The use of masks and hand disinfectant are also compulsory to enter the bank’s facilities.
