ExecuJet Aviation Group is predicting an acceleration in its growth in Australasia, as clients in the region increasingly turn to support organizations with global experience and scale.
Speaking yesterday at Avalon 2015, the Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition, Darren McGoldrick, Vice President Australasia, ExecuJet Aviation Group, said: “The macro outlook for business aviation in Asia is encouraging, with all OEMs predicting rising deliveries across the region in the next two decades. We believe the current high levels of product innovation from aircraft manufacturers will only support that trend, encouraging more people to become business jet owners for the first time.”
“This development is in turn driving a maturing of the business aviation services market. In the past year alone, ExecuJet’s managed fleet in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia has grown by 10 aircraft to a total of 18, and we are experiencing a steady increase in enquiries. Clients typically have high service expectations and are seeking out businesses like ExecuJet that have global scale, the resources to invest in quality processes and which offer comprehensive expertise in aircraft operations.”
Outbound tourism spending of China’s post-80s travelers to continue to grow in 2015
According to UnionPay International, the spending of Chinese outbound travelers is expected to continue to grow in 2015, driven mainly by increased travel and overseas consumption made by the country’s post-80s generation, or the Millennials. With the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday, a peak season for outbound travel, the enormous spending power of Chinese tourists will also bring about a “peak harvest” for foreign merchants.
China has become the world’s second largest travel and tourism economy – the country’s outbound travellers exceeded 100 million in 2014, spending a record USD164.8 billion overseas. A 2014 research report from the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) revealed that Chinese travelers under 35 years, also known as the “post-80s”, or the Millennial, generation have become the main force of outbound tourism in China, accounting for over 67.5% of outbound travelers surveyed last year.
