Corporate Bits | Macau shopping festival returns next month for 8th edition

The annual Macau Shopping Festival, now in its eighth edition, will return to the city from December 1 to 31, under the theme “Make Shopping Fun”.

The Festival will inject distinctive elements in Macau’s “world-class” shopping offerings during the winter festive period to entertain and excite visitors across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and global travellers, as well as Macau locals.

According to organizers, one highlight of the festival is the participation in lucky draws with no spending by joining the MOMEplay Interactive Game for a chance to win MOMEplay coins in exchange for 2018 merchant coupons or for a chance to enter to the final lucky draw for grand prize. Purchases of up to MOP500 at any Macau stores within December, the 8th Macau Shopping Festival period, are eligible to enter one round of the “The Consumption Lucky Draw” with the spending receipts. Purchases of up to MOP10,000 are eligible for the “The Final Lucky Draw”. One winner each will be announced on December 11, December 19 and January 2 respectively, with the net worth of all the Lucky Draw prizes at over MOP9 million.

Supported by three leading electronic payment operators, Mpay, Alipay and WeChat Pay this year, visitors and citizens can also enjoy an optimized shopping experience at the 8th Macau Shopping Festival, and even grand offers from their electronic payment.

WeChat Pay is now offering triple offers including “Scan QR Code for Red Packet”, “WeChat Shake, free bill to take” and “Fulfill the amount then Reward”; Settle your bill by Alipay to enjoy offers up to RMB8,888 “Lucky Red Packet” and “Instant Discount”.

From outdoor media to KOL, SEM, social media and official social platforms, the 8th Macau Shopping Festival extensively launches the campaign to enhance the awareness among visitors from Guangdong and Hong Kong and residents of Macau and the Greater Bay Area, with particular focus on young customers for boosting spending.
