P001-(1)Melco Crown Entertainment Limited is committed to giving back to the community and making a difference in people’s lives. To do this, the company will offer 100 tickets for The House of Dancing Water show per day to the Macau community, so that everyone will have a chance to appreciate the award-winning water-based performance.
Mr. Lawrence Ho, Co-chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Melco Crown Entertainment, said, “The House of Dancing Water is a testament to our commitment in bringing world-class non-gaming offerings to Macau and our ongoing effort to help promote economic diversification in the city.  It is an entertainment centerpiece that we built for Macau and dedicated to Macau. We believe that our true vision is not completely fulfilled until every member of the community has appreciated the show.”
Melco Crown Entertainment is offering 100 tickets daily, with priority given to youth, the elderly and other underprivileged segments of the community. The company will also offer tickets to its in-house community of MCE Volunteers to recognize their contribution, and to emphasize the company’s acknowledgement and commitment to the value of volunteerism.

Conference-Classroom-set-up_lowsands resorts cotai strip launches green meetings offer

Sands Resorts Cotai Strip Macao has been developing sustainable business practices with a range of green offerings under its Sands ECO360° Meeting Program. In order to further raise the awareness of its Sands ECO360° environmental advocacy and leverage the company’s environmentally preferable facilities and business practices, Sands Resorts is launching a Green Meetings offer for its meeting and convention clients.
From now until Dec. 31, event planners and clients who use the Sands ECO360° Meetings event planning tool or any green meeting tools at Sands Resorts, which comprises The Venetian Macao and Conrad Macao, Cotai Central and Holiday Inn Macao Cotai Central, will be entitled to a 20% discount on in-house audio and visual services and equipment. The Sands ECO360° meeting tool includes a series of standard sustainable practices and facilities that are designed to reduce the environmental impact of an event, such as using energy saving lighting, giving preference to local suppliers and placing equipment in a power-saving eco-mode at the end of each event.
“Sustainable development is undoubtedly becoming a global trend of business operations,” said Mark McWhinnie, senior vice president of resort operations and development of Sands China Ltd. “The Sands ECO360° meetings event planning tool has been a crucial part of the company’s overall sustainability investment and has achieved significant progress in the area of environmental protection and preservation. Our company will continue to promote the importance of sustainable development as a leading developer and operator of integrated hotel resorts, to encourage and support our meeting and convention clients to share this value with us.”
