Melco Resorts & Entertainment participated in Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM)’s 38th Macao Green Week, presenting a butterfly garden-themed creative display featuring over 11 types of seasonal flowers, the gaming operator announced in a statement.
The display is part of Green Week Carnival held at Tap Seac Square until March 24.
Coinciding with Macao Green Week, Melco has further organized environmental awareness activities such as charity walks, planting days, recycling programs and educational roadshows with support from its trusted community partners.
Lawrence Ho, chairman and CEO of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, said, “Melco strives to develop and continue implementing innovative green infrastructures and strategies in sustainability to benefit the local community.”
The theme of the event this year is “Flying Butterflies across the Green City.”
Macao Green Week is hosted by IAM in collaboration with other local groups every March.
ILCM conducts appreciation dinner for caregivers
More than 60 caregivers from 15 different charities in Macau attended a dinner at the Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel, hosted by the International Ladies’ Club of Macau.
The Carers’ Appreciation Dinner is held annually to recognize the important work the charities do to support those most in need in the city, the association said in a statement.
The association acknowledged different organizations including Against Child Abuse (Macau), ARTM, Asilo de Betania, Asilo Santa Maria and Cradle of Hope amongst others.
“We are so grateful to these charities for their commitment to changing lives and communities in Macau,” said ILCM president Rebecca Glade, adding, “Hosting the dinner every year is our association’s way of acknowledging their amazing contributions.”
