Corporate Bits | MGM China awarded as ‘Most honored company’

MGM China has been recognized as “Most Honored Company” by financial publication Institutional Investor for the fourth consecutive year in the 2018 All-Asia Executive Team survey.

The Macau-based team was awarded a total of 15 awards in all-polled categories under the Gaming & Lodging sector, the gaming operator noted in a statement.

The awards include the Most Honored Company; Best Investor Relations Program – First Place Nominated by the Sell Side; Best Corporate Governance – Third Place; Best ESG SRI Metrics – Third Place; and Best Analyst Day – Second Place.

Grant Bowie was awarded the Best CEO – First Place Nominated by the Sell Side, while Hubert Wang was second place as Best CFO and Sidney Luk won first place as Best IR Professional.

Bowie, the CEO and executive director of MGM China said, “The opening of MGM Cotai represents a milestone and a real game changer for us as well as the market and we will continue to serve the investor community with our remarkable IR practice.”

Novotel opens 500th hotel in Seoul

Featuring 523 rooms with digital equipment and design, the Novotel Hotel is located within close proximity to historical sites including Heunginjimun, one of the “Eight Gates of Seoul” dating back to the 14th century.

Designed with “space within a space” concept, natural Korean flamed-finish granite stone is featured throughout its floorings and walls. which combine the use of natural timber, Accor Hotels said in a statement.

A motif of iconic Heunginjimun leaves is found throughout the hotel, guest rooms and bathroom doors.
