Corporate bits | MGM team members graduate diploma program

Seven MGM team members enrolled in the MGM High School Diploma Program successfully completed their courses and received diplomas from Escola Secundária Luso-Chinesa de Luís Gonzaga Gomes (ESLC) last month.

The company partnered with ESLC under the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) to provide complimentary education for local team members completing their high school diplomas.

A feature of the MGM High School Diploma Program is that classes take place at the company, with re-arranged rosters to better accommodate team members’ study.

This encourages participants to complete the courses necessary to earn qualifications that are essential to career advancement, the gaming operator noted in a statement.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be presented with junior high and high school diploma certificates recognized by DSEJ.

Graeme Croft, MGM’s Vice President of Table Games, said, “Our Company supports our team members 100 percent. We always encourage them to further their education.”

Bene elevates brunch offerings

Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel’s Bene Italian Restaurant will elevate its Sunday brunch by adding free-flowing beverages (including prosecco, cocktails and beer), new artisanal pass-around dishes, and an interactive kid’s corner, the hotel has announced in a statement.

The new Great Big Bene Sunday Brunch will feature cold antipasti, salads, Italian premium cheeses and cold cuts, along with a range of carpaccio, pizzas and freshly baked treats such as egg tartlets and panini, as well as Eggs Benedict with sautéed mushrooms, Parma ham, black truffle and parmigiana hollandaise.

An array of fresh imported lobsters, crab legs, prawns on ice, and freshly-shucked seasonal oysters are also on offer.

A live carving station with tempting charcoal-grilled and slow-roasted meats including Australian skirt steak, New Zealand lamb chops and marinated chicken can also be seen at Sunday brunch.

At the “Sweet Escape” area, guests can indulge in a dessert spread featuring traditional Italian sweets such as tiramisu, panna cotta, limoncello and ricotta cake, pistachio crostata, as well as a selection of ice creams.
