7777Sands China Ltd. participated in two activities in the One Day Volunteer 2014 program organized by the Macau Youth Volunteer Association Sunday, where 50 Sands China Care Ambassadors spent a day with local needy families as well as elderly residents from the Caritas Macau Meng Fai Nursing Home. Sunday’s activities marked Sands China’s sixth consecutive year participating in the annual One Day Volunteer scheme.
Accompanied by 30 Sands China Care Ambassadors (SCCA), 60 local needy children and their family members enjoyed indoor leisure and cultural activities Sunday morning aimed at promoting a harmonious family life, followed by a visit to the Transformers 30th Anniversary Expo at The Venetian Macao. The families each received a Transformer Expo souvenir set after the tour.
In the afternoon of the same day, another group of 20 Sands China Care Ambassadors visited 75 elderly citizens at the Caritas Macau Meng Fai Nursing Home in Areia Preta, where the SCCA volunteers sang along with the seniors and played some interactive games with them. The participants each received a gift from Sands China Ltd. and another gift pack prepared by the Macau Youth Volunteer Association.
“I’m a keen supporter of One Day Volunteer because it’s such a meaningful and rewarding event that makes me feel good every time,” said one of the participating SCCA volunteers. “I enjoyed today so much and look forward to joining this activity again next year.”
