VistaJet announced that it has purchased three new aircrafts worth USD115 million, taking its overall operating fleet to 70 aircraft.
The new additions mean that VistaJet now has the largest owned, super-midsize and large-cabin, business jet fleet in the industry, said the aviation firm in a statement.
The company has doubled its fleet in two years, from 35 aircraft in 2014 to now 70.
The company continues to add new customers around the world at a record pace, and is ensuring that its operating fleet size supports its exponential business growth. With its fleet expansion, VistaJet is maintaining the company’s strong track record of attracting, training and supporting pilots, engineers and cabin crew. The company had a record-breaking first half of the year, with global flight traffic up 23 percent and passenger numbers up 20 percent.

The Ritz-Carlton appoints new general manager

The Ritz-Carlton, Macau is pleased to announce the promotion and appointment of Christian Gurtner as the general manager of its resort, effective immediately.
In this role, he will be primarily responsible for managing the hotel operations and maintaining the unparalleled service excellence that is synonymous with The Ritz-Carlton brand.
Gurtner joined The Ritz-Carlton Millenia, Singapore as executive assistant manager of Food & Beverage in 2012 and was promoted to Hotel Manager in 2013. He brought with him global experience in management positions with hotel brands across Switzerland, the United States (US), Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore and China.
Gurtner’s career in Asia began in Hong Kong in 2007 with Hyatt International Asia Pacific when he spent a year as director of Food & Beverage at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai.
Gurtner commenced his hospitality career in 1992 in Switzerland and later garnered extensive experience in Rooms and Food & Beverage divisions in various parts of the US, including the Four Seasons Hotel at Beverly Hills.
