Without having publicly announced any tender details, the Land and Public Works Bureau (DSOP) has confirmed the design firm and the construction company for part of the new court building in Nam Van.
The project has sparked debates at the Urban Planning Committee and the public circle, for the reason that it will inevitably impede the views between the Guia Hill and the Nobre do Carvalho Bridge.
The DSOP publicized on its website that the construction company for the foundation and basement of the building had been confirmed. The work is expected to cost MOP209 million and take 683 working days.
Shing Lung Construction and Engineering Company Limited will handle the construction, while a local Portuguese firm CC Atelier De Arquitectura Lda will handle the design. The design will cost Macau MOP20.5 million.
The building will have eight floors above ground and four floors below.
The next phase of the project will be the construction of the building itself. AL
