The lunar year of 2018, which begins on February 16, is under the auspices of the sign of the earth dog and influence of the number 9, which will move into the middle of the Luo Shy quadrant, which means prosperity in every home, regardless of the zodiac sign. The financial potential created by the number nine indicates that 2018 is a good year to open new businesses, increase business profits, build a good reputation or rise in social status. Above all, the earth dog year indicates that people will tend to organize parties, celebrate and enjoy life more. It will be a lucky year for newlyweds.

Planning, delaying and neglecting are words that should not be part of your vocabulary during this year. Regenerated, the dog accelerates the beginning of all things, which is generally good, but on the other hand, it brings greater stress and pressure to daily life.

For the dog natives, 2018 will be an excellent year in terms of finances, but health will not always be benefited. In fact, this should be a constant concern for all signs. Chinese almanac predictions indicate that this year people should pay more attention to healthy eating, practice physical activity and get rid of bad habits, under penalty of constantly suffering from minor problems. Those born under the sign of the dog (in the years 1922, 1934, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994 and 2006) are objective people, who will always strive to spread justice and good advice. A constructive and efficient thinker, the dog does not fade before challenges when it has a purpose in mind. The dog is devotee of its own ideals, but still respects the rules that apply to all.

The dog is the 11th animal of the Chinese zodiac and is connected to the last month of autumn. The year the male earth dog marries its sign points to two mountains side by side, which means a very strong earth element. Winter comes soon after the dog’s month – and winter is the month of water. That means if you can climb up the mountain and get to the top of it, good luck is reserved for you in 2019. To have a good year of the pig in 2019, you must finish the dog’s year unharmed.

The seasons
Spring

In general, Macau residents like to have children in the dragon, dog and pig years. Babies born in the golden pig, golden dragon and golden dog years are considered intelligent and healthy. This is the year of the dog and the year of the 5th celestial stem and 11th terrestrial branch, whose representation in the Chinese theory of five elements is Earth. The Earth is not only to cultivate, it also has the paradigm of conceiving, characterizing itself as a mother, full of fertility, being, in this perspective, a cradle for the children and a huge lap of welcome and creation. In this respect, the time period following February 4 will be the best time to get pregnant.

During this period, the real estate and stock markets will remain relatively stable, with positive external factors, with stock markets always on the rise. Residents will begin to make plans to purchase their own home and/or to exchange their current home.

Summer

It is expected that this summer will have some abnormalities. Five yellow stars in the north are angered. There may be serious public health problems, and a number of viruses of unknown origin may come from possibly the Northwest. During this period, it is not advisable to travel abroad. Particular attention should be given to the home, especially to the west and north. In 2018, there will be several social riots, so people will be more agitated and substantially nervous. In the geopolitical context, some rude clashes between some countries may erupt.

Autumn

Because the “star representing government officials” finds itself in a position of continued strife and perverse agitation, a number of claims are expected among many senior officials, as well as a worsening of the situation in the Middle East and North Korea and falling stock markets. Many residents will experience negative energy during this less positive phase. Although it sounds strange, more babies will be born after autumn and parents will feel effusive with their newborns, thus unraveling the discomfort of the various social and political conflicts that are occurring.

Winter

There will be an appreciation of the renminbi. The stock market will enter a phase of compensation and adjustment. After all, the dog is always man’s best friend and despite wear and tear and fatigue after a year of turbulence, fortunately, by the end of the year the Purple Star is auspicious and will bring, finally, peace.

Lucky numbers: 3, 4 and 9

Lucky colors: red, green and purple

Auspicious flowers: roses and orchids
